I have some great news regarding this game.When I was recently searching the web for a way to make this game work, I stumbled upon a video on YouTube that actually did the trick. So for those who need it here’s the link to the video:

Another thing, so far this method seems compatible with The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod, but I can’t say for sure because I only recently tried out this method myself.
If the game takes slightly longer to load, don’t worry that is perfectly normal.

I have good news and bad news.
Good news is that I got a new PC and KOTOR 1 works on it! The only issues I have with the game are:
If I want to play the game with movies enabled I have to play it in Windowed Mode.
If I want to play the game in full screen mode I have to disable Movies.
And finally the grass for some reason is glitched, but if I disable grass it is okay
Other than that I have no problems 🙂
Bad news is KOTOR 2 does not work at all anymore 🙁
My new PC uses an Intel HD 2000 graphics card and according to Intel both games are not supposed to work on my PC but for some reason KOTOR 1 works fine but not KOTOR 2 for some reason.
Well I just wanted to update you on my situation, hopefully this info can help others.

@Setmat71, we tested this and it is still working just make sure you have DHT enabled. We tested the game and also didn’t encounter any with what you are telling. But if you are really worried about that please don’t continue.

HOW TO STOP THE GAME FROM CRASHING
1.-The first thing you want to do is to tweak the .ini file for the game.You can access the file by going to “MY COMPUTER” then go to “LOCAL DISK(C;)” then go to “GOG games” then go to “Star Wars-KOTOR2” then scroll down and look for a file called “swkotor2″(It’s icon is a picture of Darth Nihilus).
-Below the file called “swkotor2(the one with Darth Nihilus’ picture)” there is a file called “swkotor2(This one’s icon is a picture of a notepad with a cog on it)”.
-Open that file.After opening that file you should see a subheading called “[Graphics options]”.Under that subheading make these exact changes:
Frame Buffer=0
Texture Quality=1
Grass=0
Soft Shadows=0
Shadows=0
FullScreen=0
Then type in this under [Graphics Options]:
AllowWindowedMode=1
The reason this game crashes a lot is because the game is trying to run on a screen ratio most modern computers cannot display,so by running the game in windowed mode it will force the game to run in the 16:9 screen ratio and most computers can handle this.I recommend you run this game in the
800X600 screen resolution.
3.Another thing you can do is to install “The restored content mod” this will fix some of the bugs and glitches the game has(Especially the GOG version)
NOTE: What I said will not stop the game from crashing completely but it will however reduce the amount of times the game crashes and it will fix some of the bugs and glitches the game has(That is if you download the “restored content mod”)
I have tried to make Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 to work but unfortunately all my attempts have failed.GOG please Re-upload KOTOR 1 so we can play the game!

Yes,I have read in the comments that I should use the restored content mod to help the game run better without issues like the ones I have mentioned,but I want to play the game without the mod first so I can get the experience the Developers wanted me to get then I will install the mod.My GPU is the Mobile Intel(R) 45 Express Chipset Family(Microsoft Corporation-WDDM1.1)

The game installed perfectly.I was able to play through very little of the game and then I gave up.This was because the game crashed very frequently,it sometimes crashed upon start up,sometimes during loading screens and sometimes during the game play.Another reason I gave up playing the game is because there is a glitch,after you do the B4D4 mission and regain control of your own character,Atton and Kreia(your companions) are nowhere to be seen,they were supposed to spawn in when you regain control of your character.I also downloaded KOTOR 1 but when I try to open the game it says the application has stopped working.Please I beg you re-upload these games in a working condition,I really want to play them.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my comment.My problem with KOTOR 2 is not that I cannot create a character,I actually can without any problem.I guess you are right my GPU is not compatible with the game,but I do not understand how KOTOR 2 works(with a lot of issues I have mentioned) on my computer but not KOTOR 1,why is that?Well it seems I may not be able to play these games for a while,thanks for you help any way.

128 MB is graphic memory most new laptop will have more.

please fix problem for windows 10 it will only let me choose my character and his ability’ and then it right after the star wars music comes on and the big yellow words it chrashes
Have you tried reading the comments for that matter?
This is an extremely twitchy game and making it work can be a bit of a hassle.
The first thing you should do is go to SWConfig application in the game folder.
Activate “Disable Movies” and “Force Hardware Sound” – often the game won’t have any sound unless you use this.
Second, download “The Sith Lords Restored Content” It can be found here: https://bit.ly/3fPFiyq
It not only restores a TON of stuff, it apparently helps stabilize the game. regardless, the mod is almost mandatory for the sheer amount it adds to the game.
Finally, start the game, go into the graphic settings, click ‘advanced’ and turn off ‘frame buffer effects’. Your game should now be playable.
Take a good look through the SDadly Stream site while you’re at it; there’s some pretty incredible mods.
