Okay, how?
More women fighters? Makes sense, as the background lore pointed out that through the years, the war between the remnants of the old knights and the new kingdom went so long that so many fighting men on both sides died out.
Dark-skinned characters? On a game set in a sun-drenched desert, which timeline’s spanned hundreds of years.
Western setting appropriation? How? The lore and setting of the game isn’t touching on any established germanic, or even any clear european setting, mythos and history. It’s just the vauge western fantasy(the number of japanese anime that does this), dumped with lots of sand.
And for enemies. You’re fighting crapton of sand beasts. You’re not going to fight an ordinary human footsoldier, at best, you’re going to fight one dude that’s been buffed by a god, that’s it. So unless you’re FOR the sand monsters for some reason, there’s really no way for anyone to take offense in this game.
Well, women fighters never make sense. Even the weaker men are still stronger than the vast majority of women.
