The enhanced edition is complete trash.
In order to boost the sales they removed the original und bundled it with the enhanced edtition.

You can try compatibility mode if you encounter any problem with an old game. and make sure you have installed all the needed software from Microsoft like DirectX, .Net Framework and visual c++. 😀
