Older game but it’s a winner. I’ve tried more recent titles that were recommended but wasn’t able to really get into them. I was captivated with Dragon’s Dogma from the start. It’s one of those gems that for whatever reasons never quite got the attention it deserves, as I found out. I suppose some people would say the graphics are a bit dated but for me they’re awesome. You can mod the game much like Skyrim, Fallout 4, etc. so there are mods to amp up the graphics anyway.
No problems with the installation. I guess I have about 25 hours in game and no crashes so far.

19.36 Gb is very big. After I installed it and played it a little, from the second area “The Encampment” onwards, whenever there are torches, campfires and lots of NPCs, or skill effects, the game lags a lot. Everyone moves in slow-motion. I tried changing the settings in the .ini file, reduced the screen resolution, refresh rate, etc. then tried changing the NVidia Control Panel settings but nothing works. Also tried compatibility settings in Win7 and Win Vista. Heavy lagging still there. Please help. Maybe I missed something?

I cant start up the game. Im not tech savvy, so im not sure how to fix. I get a system error message: “the program can’t start because XINPUT1_3.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.” Yeah that didnt work either. How to fix?
