The Suffering is a horror-action game set on Abbott State Penitentiary, a prison island haunted by grotesque manifestations of its violent past. Players control Torque, a death row inmate armed with pistols, shotguns, and melee weapons, fighting through decaying cellblocks and underground tunnels while making moral choices that affect the story and lead to multiple endings.
