Yes it is free via gog 😀 we offer free games here so it should be here also.
GOG has delisted many different games in the past. It’s good to have an alternative source even for currently free games. Also some people don’t want to make an account with them.
Does it work multiplayer?
Sorry we do not test Multiplayer as most of the games Multi works only if you buy the game 🙁
