Island of Penance is an adventure RPG where Illumina becomes the first female prison guard on a notorious island to investigate her father's mysterious death. She navigates a corrupt prison hierarchy, performing favors for wardens to gain access and information. Combat uses elemental magic crests that allow strategic spellcasting in turn-based encounters. As she uncovers clues about her father's fate, Illumina must survive brutal prison violence, political intrigue, and dangerous inmate populations. The game blends narrative exploration with tactical combat and moral choices in a harsh, isolated setting.
