The Dig

The Dig is a point-and-click adventure game developed by LucasArts and released in 1995. After diverting a rogue asteroid on a collision course with Earth, a three-person crew discovers the asteroid is actually an alien spacecraft that transports them to a desolate, ancient planet. Players must solve intricate environmental and inventory-based puzzles across hundreds of locations to uncover the fate of a long-dead civilization and find a way to return home. The game features a science fiction narrative with input from Steven Spielberg, atmospheric pre-rendered backgrounds, and a focus on exploration and logical problem-solving.
