Liberate supplies, scavenge weapons and use the ‘recruit and command’ system to grow the resistance and lead up to 12 freedom fighters into strategic conflicts throughout the campaign. Travel across the city and complete interconnected missions where your actions in one level affect the battles in another.
Originally released in 2003, IO Interactive’s cult classic is now available digitally in its original form for the first time.

The Freedom Fighters Soundtrack features 18 tracks that are produced by acclaimed music composer Jesper Kyd. Combining live choir performances by the Hungarian Radio Choir with techno beats and other electronic instruments, Kyd effortlessly captures the vibe of the game and the epic quest to liberate New York from a foreign superpower.

im happy to know this game is still kicking and now on gog after all this time but im facing a problem where theres a weird black box on the top left of the screen is there a fix for it? its just very annoying and harms the experience
Hi jack115, We tested this game but we didn’t experienced that problem. Have you tried tweaking the video or graphics settings? We also tried searching online but there’s no other who experienced it too.

AWESOME! I’ve been dying to play this game again for years! I just hope this works.
Same issue as Jack, black box top right corner with white avatar of me or player I’m looking at. Tweaked graphics resolution and windows compatibility and still same issue. Windows 8 Intel i5 series I’m running and feed back would be much appreciated craving my nostalgia fix. Great site overall though great job guy
Sorry Legatus Lanius, until now we couldn’t find any fix for the problem and hopping that someone would reply to fix this. Coz, when we tested this we didn’t experienced it using it with dedicated graphics card. Let us know more about your graphics card.
This is one of the best games ever made, the story is crazy-awesome and soundtrack is wonderful, i kept the CD for PS2 for memory but im PC player now and dont have PS. Was told by a friend about this web page and first thing showed up was FREEEDOM FIGHTER 😀

This game is from the age when Electronics Arts meant quality games and not money-hungry shit. The plot, the music, the gameplay, everything is perfect. Hope someday we would see a sequel.
