Sokobond is a fascinating puzzle game made in a minimalistic style that will show you the beauty of chemistry as a science. At first it may seem like a rather strange indie project, but the “strange” games do not receive Honorable Mention at IGF 2014, do not become finalists in PAX10 2013 competition, and do not win at IndieCade 2013. Sokobond is a chemical constructor in which each of the stages is a small two-dimensional area, with atoms of various chemical elements scattered on it.
Remember the structural formulas of substances from the school chemistry course? If not, Sokobond will remind you how to correctly build different molecules, given the valence of the atoms. It all starts with the fact that you move one atom, gradually attaching new ones to it and increasing the molecule. The level will be completed as soon as you get the substance, conceived by the developers. The trick is that the levels are small and often have strange configurations. Have you pushed an atom into an awkward position and can’t attach it? – We’ll have to start over. Do not be afraid of the lack of good knowledge of chemistry – they are almost unnecessary here . The game itself will tell you the basis. In total, the game promises over a hundred puzzles.
