Hand of Fate 2 combines deck-building strategy with real-time combat in a dark fantasy boardgame. Players build a custom deck of encounter, equipment, and companion cards to face challenges presented by the mysterious Dealer. Each quest unfolds as a series of card-drawn scenarios, ranging from combat battles to dialogue choices and traps. Success in encounters earns loot and upgrades, while failure may impose penalties or end the run. With dozens of quests, hundreds of items, and multiple companions to recruit, every playthrough offers a unique path through the cursed realm.
