Janosik 2 is a retro action-platformer with metroidvania elements where players control a Slovakian highlander captive seeking to escape and rescue his beloved from the evil Baron de Blonde. The game features traversal through dense forests and dungeons, combat against enemies, and avoidance of traps. Players can switch between four playable characters, including a werewolf and a vampire, each possessing unique abilities that affect gameplay and exploration. Multiple endings are determined by choices made during the adventure.
