MUTATION NATION is a side-scrolling arcade beat ’em up where two young fighters battle to save their hometown from hordes of humans transformed into violent mutants. Fight through ruined streets and laboratories using punches, kicks, jumping attacks, throws, combo techniques, and powerful special moves. Enemies range from mutated humans to grotesque biological creations and mechanical threats, with increasingly dangerous encounters leading to large boss battles. Fast arcade combat and unusual mutant designs give the game a distinctive sci-fi horror style within SNK’s early Neo Geo lineup.
