Unable to save progress in game on steam deck in both game mode/desktop mode. Game runs fine just doesnt save any progress.

Like the unit back there said, just make sure you’re getting a gog package (they typically have a number in brackets in the title)

GOG games are safe. The installers are all signed executables. Just make sure that the signature when you execute the installer is correct. This is almost impossible to forge and is a very good way to detemine if the file has been tampered with (e.g., modified to install a virus or trojan).
Not saying that you didn’t get a virus. However, it is unlikely to have been from a genuine GOG installer.
im just warning for website’s like this because i know for a fact i did get a virus from downloading a video game from similar website’s like this. i did not say i specifically got the virus from this exact website , and i did not know the owner of this website check’s the link’s before sharing them before leaving my comment only after i had left the comment i had read their about us. but either way it’s up to the person that want’s to download a video game from a stranger to decide weather to trust or not.
