Red Faction: Armageddon is a third-person shooter set on a devastated Mars where engineer Darius Mason triggers an ancient evil while working in the planet's subterranean colonies. Players battle alien infestations and hostile forces across ruined surface zones and deep underground caverns using the Nano Forge, a versatile tool that can destroy environments, repair structures, and upgrade weapons. The game features both a single-player campaign and multiplayer modes including cooperative Infestation Mode and competitive Ruin Mode, which task players with surviving waves of enemies or capturing strategic points in destructible points on dynamically changing maps.
