As for Steve’s question, I can’t say about any performance patch but I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that the newly posted version v1.5931.19079.0 runs so much better than v1.5676.18651.0.
I have a 4 Port SATA Switch which allows me to have 4 system drives on a single SATA Port.
This gives me the unique opportunity to install various versions of the same game on different system drives and to test them to see if there are any differences in performance and thus keep the version that performs better.
I have The Outer Worlds v1.5.1.712 on one system drive (Graphics set to Low)
I have The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition v1.5676.18651.0 on another system drive (set to Low)
Finally The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition v1.5931.19079.0 on another (set to High) which out performs (no lag and very responsive) the other 2 versions especially on the more complex scenes.
My System Specs in part:
